The Sashiko Sweater contains a recreation of the Japanese embroidery technique that it’s named after. The sweater is knitted from the top down in circular knitting. It has rice stitch sections that add texture and patterned sections that are worked using the colorwork technique. This pattern uses short German rounds, but you can choose your preferred method of short rounds. Once the sweater has been finished and blocked to the given measurements, you will start embroidering the colourwork section and that’s where the magic begins, you will see how your project changes completely. -
